Selected biography:
Actor, theater director, playwright and scriptwriter (for film and TV).
The new director of Avignon Festival, the First non-french person to be nominated for the role. From 2015 to 2021, he was the artistic director at Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, in Lisbon. In 2019 he was awarded with the Pessoa Award.
He has created more than 30 plays, played in around 20 countries, from which we highlight:
